Pathway Management: Edit or Delete a Transfer Pathway
Pathway Management is an area within the Transferology® Lab where schools can manage the display of transfer agreements ("Transfer Pathways") with partner institutions. The School Administrator or Transfer Pathway Administrator role is required to access this page within the Lab. This article provides instructions for editing or deleting a Transfer Pathway within the Lab.
In this article:
To navigate to Pathway Management:
- Go to School Profile.
- Select Pathway Management.
If an institution has a previously established Pathway with another school, the name(s) of the Partner School will appear (alphabetically) below, alongside the number of Pathways (Total Pathways) to and from the school.
Edit a Pathway
To edit a Pathway:
- Select the Total Pathways hyperlink to the right of the Partner School name.
- The following Warning message will appear as the Pathways with (Partner School Name) page appears.
"I affirm that this pathway is accurate for use in student planning and that any degrees, certifications, or other statements made about the partner institution named within the pathway are correct and (ideally) have been reviewed and approved by that institution."
- Mark the I agree checkbox and select Agree.
CollegeSource does not perform any type of validation on Transfer Pathways to ensure the accuracy of the content.
- The screen will display the existing Pathways to and from the Partner School.
- Select the Pathways To My School tab to edit a Pathway to the institution.
- Select the Pathways From My School tab to edit a Pathway from the institution.
A detailed overview of the fields on each tab is available within this article.
Unapprove a Pathway
Unapproved Pathways will not display to students and staff in the Transferology applications. To remove approval from a Pathway:
- Unmark the Me checkbox to the right of the Pathway name.
A notification will appear indicating the Pathway has been updated. Following this action, the Pathway's expiration date will adjust to one year from the last date a partner school approved it. If neither school has approved the Pathway, it will adjust to one year from the Pathway creation date.
Change the Pathway Name
A user can update the name of a Pathway if that person belongs to the institution that created it.
To do so:
- Under Actions, select the Edit Pathways icon.
- The Edit Pathway pop-up will appear. If the Pathway is a TES® Group Report, the Group Report name will appear in the Report Title field.
a. Enter the new title for the Pathway in the Name field.
b. Adjust the status of the Approved for display to students? checkbox if needed.
- Select Update Pathway.
A notification will appear indicating the Pathway has been updated. Following this action:
- The Pathway's expiration date will adjust to one year from the last date a partner school approved it. If neither school has approved the Pathway, it will adjust to one year from the Pathway creation date.
- An email notification will go to the Transfer Pathway Administrator at the institution performing the action and at the partner school (if the institution subscribes to Transferology).
Refresh from TES
For those "to" partner schools using TES Group Reports, the Refresh From TES button refreshes the list of Pathways (and their content) from TES on demand instead of waiting for nightly refreshes.
A notification will appear indicating the Pathway has been refreshed. The notification contains the details of the number of Pathways created, updated, and deleted.
Delete a Pathway
A user can delete the selected Pathway if the person is the Pathway creator.
To delete a Pathway:
- Select the Total Pathways hyperlink to the right of the Partner School name.
- The following Warning message will appear as the Pathways with (Partner School Name) page appears.
"I affirm that this pathway is accurate for use in student planning and that any degrees, certifications, or other statements made about the partner institution named within the pathway are correct and (ideally) have been reviewed and approved by that institution."
- Mark the I agree checkbox and select Agree.
CollegeSource does not perform any type of validation on Transfer Pathways to ensure the accuracy of the content.

- Select the Pathways To My School tab to edit a Pathway to the institution.
- Select the Pathways From My School tab to edit a Pathway from the institution.
A detailed overview of the fields on each tab is available within this article.
External Link or File Upload
To delete a Pathway containing an external link or PDF:
- Under Actions, select the Delete Pathway button.
- A pop-up will ask the user to confirm that the Pathway should be deleted.
- Select Yes.
A notification will appear indicating the Pathway has been deleted. Following this action, an email notification will go to the Transfer Pathway Administrator at the institution performing the action and at the partner school (if the institution subscribes to Transferology).
If all Pathways to and from the Partner School have been deleted, the institution can select the Delete partner link within the Pathway Management page to remove the partner from the list.
TES Group Report
Pathways to TES Group Reports can only be deleted from Transferology if the Group Report:
- Has been deleted from TES, or
- Is hidden from display in the TES Public View and Transferology.
If a user attempts to delete a Pathway for a visible Group Report, the following message will display in the Lab:
To delete a Pathway for a Group Report once it's been deleted from TES, simply select Refresh From TES. A notification will appear indicating the Pathway has been deleted.
To delete a Pathway for a visible Group Report:
- Hide the Group Report from display in the TES Public View and Transferology.
- This is done by unmarking the "Public View Display?" checkbox in the Group Report Header in TES. Follow the steps in this documentation.
- Within the Transferology Lab, select Refresh from TES.
