Questions and Answers Import Record Format
The role of Program Administrator offers the ability to import/export both questions and answers via flat file, which may be in one of two two available formats: (new) Transferology record format or (legacy) u.select schema.

* The use of the term "schema" is being phased out, with new references replaced with the term "record format" to avoid confusion with XML schema.
Both formats–new and old–are recognized and made available in the Lab in an effort to eliminate a school's need to revise current program data export processes from its campus SIS.
When importing questions and answers, it is good practice to import the question file FIRST and then the program file to ensure that the questions are linked up correctly with their corresponding programs.
While questions and answers are listed separately, they can be combined into one file and do not need to be imported separately
Questions
Transferology Questions Import/Export Record Format
Both School Administrators and Program Administrators can import and/or export questions in the Transferology format.
The Transferology Questions format is very similar to that of legacy u.select Questions. In fact, the only differences lie in the Answer fields:
Rcredit Field
For pseudo course answers:
- The export format is the same: a number with 5 digits after the decimal point.
- Any valid number is allowed on import.
For non-pseudo courses answers:
- u.select format will export 0.0000 and Transferology format will leave the field blank.
- This field is ignored when a non-pseudo course answer is imported.
Pflag Field
For pseudo course answers:
- u.select format uses "True" and "False" for imports and exports.
- Transferology format uses "Y" and "N".
For non-pseudo course answers:
- u.select always exports "False".
- Transferology leaves the field blank.
- This field is also ignored when a non-pseudo course answer is imported.
Legacy u.select Questions Import/Export Schema
Both School Administrators and Program Administrators can import questions in the legacy u.select format. Only superusers can export questions in the legacy u.select format.
