Minnesota North College Merger: Transferology Lab Maintenance for uAchieve Schools

On May 23, 2022, the below five colleges merged into one academic institution named Minnesota North College:

1. Hibbing Community College
2. Itasca Community College
3. Mesabi Range College
4. Rainy River Community College
5. Vermilion Community College

This article overviews the maintenance needed in Transferology Lab's Manage Source Schools for institutions that use uAchieve as the source of equivalencies. 

Hibbing Community College Mapping

Institutions whose source of Transferology rules is uAchieve must first end-date the uAchieve Institutional Reference Table (IREF) and TA (Transfer Articulation) Tables for each institution above. 

Within Transferology Lab, in Manage Source Schools, Hibbing Community College must be unlinked and then relinked.

1. Go to Rule Management.
2. Select Manage Source Schools.
3. Select the Linked Schools tab.
4. Select Clear filters.
5. Search for or find Hibbing Community College.
6. Under Link Status, select the broken link to unlink the institution.The following message will appear:
7. Select OK.
8. Select the Unknown Schools tab.
   
9. Search for or find Hibbing Community College.
   • Select Clear filters if the institution does not appear.
10. Select the Search box. 
11. The Find school pop-up box will appear. Select the green link to the left of the institution's name.
12. Select Linked Schools again.
13. Confirm the institution has been relinked.

Minnesota North College Mapping

Institutions whose source of Transferology rules is uAchieve must first create a uAchieve Institutional Reference Table (IREF) and TA (Transfer Articulation) Table for Minnesota North College. These tables should use the Hibbing Community College FICE code.

Within Transferology Lab, in Manage Source Schools, Minnesota North College must now be linked. 

Before proceeding, institutions will need to verify that Transferology Lab has refreshed with the latest data; this includes the new Institutional Reference Table and Transfer Articulation tables created for Minnesota North. Until that has happened, Minnesota North College will not appear in Manage Source Schools. uAchieve institutions' equivalencies refresh twice a week. Once verified:

1. Go to Rule Management.
2. Select Manage Source Schools.
3. Select the Unknown Schools tab.
4. Select Clear filters.
5. Search for or find Minnesota North College.
6. Select the Search box. 
7. The Find school pop-up box will appear. Select the green link to the left of the institution's name.The following message will appear: 
8. Select OK.
9. Select Linked Schools.
10. Confirm the institution has been linked.
