How Do I Log In to the Transferology Lab?

This article provides instructions for how to log in to the Transferology® Lab.

School Administrators must establish user accounts for all staff and faculty who will have access to the Transferology Lab. While CollegeSource creates the institution's first School Administrators account, all other accounts are created and managed by the subscribing college or university. Inquiries regarding the status of user accounts should be directed to the campus office that manages the Transferology Lab; this is often the Registrar's or Admissions Office.

To log in to the Transferology Lab:

  1. Go to transferologylab.com.
  2. Select Log in.
  3. Once the login page appears, enter the Email address associated with the account.
  4. Enter the account Password in the noted field.

Transferology Lab will support the copying and pasting of passwords and entering of passwords via a password management system.

The password will be hidden by default.

    • To display it, select the Show button.
      • To hide the password again, select Hide.
  1. Optionally, select Keep me logged in to stay logged into the Transferology Lab over periods of inactivity.
    • If selected, for the next two weeks, users will not be required to log back into the Transferology Lab. However, users will still need to undergo multifactor authentication (see below).
  2. Select Log in.

Multifactor Authentication (MFA)

Multifactor authentication – also known as “MFA” – protects a user’s account - and the data within - from unauthorized access if the user’s password becomes stolen or compromised. It does so by introducing a second verification step to confirm the user’s identity. This additional means of authentication will be required every time a user logs into the Transferology Lab outside a 24-hour timeframe unless the individual chooses for the device in use to be remembered. In this instance, the user will not receive a prompt for two-step authentication for the next 30 days.

Verification Code

After logging into the Transferology Lab, users will receive a prompt indicating that CollegeSource sent a one-time verification code to the individual’s registered email.

Transferology Lab Two-Factor Authentication. Message reads a code has been sent to your registered email. If it hasn't appeared in the inbox, try resending the code, or checking any spam folders. This code will expire 30 minutes from the time of its creation. See below for further details.

To continue logging into the Transferology Lab:

  1. Check the email associated with the Lab account.
  2. Look for an email from tfosupport@collegesource.com with the subject "Transferology Lab: Your Verification Code."
  3. Enter the six-digit verification code into the Code From Email box.
    • The verification code will expire 30 minutes after the email is sent.
      • Select Resend Code if needed.

Disable Two-Factor Authentication for 30 Days

  1. Users can disable two-factor authentication for the next 30 days by marking the same-named checkbox. In doing so, two-factor authentication will not be required for the next 30 days when logging into the Transferology Lab.
    • If not selected, two-step verification is required again after 24 hours.
  2. Select Submit.

The user should check the registered email's spam folder if the verification code is not received within a few minutes. If the user or institution has established inbox rules directing emails from CollegeSource to a particular folder, review that folder. If the code has still not arrived, verify that the email being checked is the one associated with the user's Transferology Lab account.

Upon submission, users will be redirected to Profile Preview within the Lab.
