Transferology Lab 1.9.7 Product Updates

Transferology® Lab 1.9.7 was released on October 28, 2025. Below is a summary of the additions and improvements to this version.

Advise Students, Recruit Students

  • Institutions will be able to more easily import student lead and contact information from within these areas of the Lab into Slate™. Student email, courses, and Program interest can be sent to Slate via a direct integration after initial consolation with CollegeSource.

Course Bundles

  • When searching for a school under a previous name, where the school exists in Transferology, users will be redirected to the listing for the current school name.
  • When adding military credits, users can filter by course number or title to more easily find and add the learning experience to a bundle.
  • Users can add comments to Transfer and Replacement Course Bundles within the Lab. All users with access to a Collaborative Bundle will be able to add a comment to the bundle. School Admins, and users with edit, delete, or owner permissions will be able to delete comments within the Collaborative Bundle.
  • Within Replacement Course Bundles, the Requirement Category Matches sort filter now defaults to All instead of the first department listed.

Custom Landing Pages

  • School Admins and State Coordinators will have additional options to brand their institution and state/system landing pages. Users will be able to choose different colors for header text on a white background and the background and foreground color for the section advertising the partnership with Transferology.

Institution Landing Pages

  • When adding a custom link within the Profile Preview tab, School Admins can select Show on custom landing pages to include the link within the Student transfer resources section of an institution landing page.

State/System Landing Pages

  • State Coordinators can add institutions to and remove institutions from participation in a state/system landing page. Additionally, optional URLs can be added to direct visitors to a landing page for further information when the school name is selected from the Participating institutions list.
  • Users now have the option to sort courses by column header. Previously, all courses were sorted by Count in descending order.
  • Increased clarity in the display of course rules for which only one of multiple source courses is required.

Programs

  • Users can now search by Program name in addition to school name. Filters have been added to narrow results further by text within the name and Program type.

Replacement Courses

  • Increased clarity in the display of course rules for which only one of multiple source courses is required.

School Management

  • The School Admin role now encompasses all the school-level permissions and capabilities within the Transferology Lab. In addition to current capabilities, users with this role can perform the same actions as those with the Advisor, Recruiter, Program Admin, Transfer Pathway Admin, Transfer Specialist, and TES Evaluation roles.
  • School Administrators can assign a new role to anyone at the institution who needs to access Transferology Lab to help with technical setup. Users with the Tech Support role will have limited access to the application to assist with audit setup, configuring SIS import, and creating the institution's landing page.
  • School Administrators can now approve or deny requests for Transferology Lab accounts directly from the Users tab. Roles can be selected within a pop-up for easier account creation.
  • School Admins can use the Hours label configuration within the General Information tab to choose whether the course credit value (example: up to 3 hours) of the home courses within the Transfer Equivalencies page is displayed to users as an hour, unit, or credit value, or as a number of courses.
  • The Expiring Transfer Pathway Notification configuration within the General Information tab allows institutions to select how long before the expiration of a Transfer Pathway the Transfer Pathway Administrators should receive a notification email.
  • Institutions can unmark the Receive the monthly “New Student Leads” email checkbox within the Information Request Email portion of the Contact Emails tab to no longer receive this notification.

Statistics Reports

  • Pathway views to external links are now reported within the Student and Lab reports.

TES Mode

  • When an institution is not available in TES, it will no longer appear within the page when TES Mode is selected.
  • Course titles will appear within the Popular Courses and Unknown Equivalencies pages when TES Mode is selected.
  • Users at institutions that subscribe to Transferology and TES can add comments and support files to evaluation tasks sent to TES through the TES Mode integration.

Additional Updates

  • An upgrade to Java increases security and performance within the application.
